I need to pick up stitches for the second sleeve and mentally I just haven’t felt up to it so I’ve been knitting on another project. I’d do it on the weekend but this weekend I’m doing OT. I’m exhausted. 😂🥴🥲

Nothing but hugs to you, friend. Also I really like those lidocaine patches, if that works for you.

I went through this with my seaglass cardigan. Why is it so hard to be random?!

If you go with colorwork choose something fairly basic and learn how to catch your floats first (unlike me, I had to frog). Also, although it may be frustrating, but frogging is part of knitting, so don’t be afraid of it. My first sweater was a tent at the end - should have gone down a needle size.

I’ve heard that Flax by Tincanknits and the Step by Step sweater (Florence Miller?) are good places to start, though I personally started with colorwork because I am Extra (not in a good way!) that was the Mountain Mist pattern also by Tincanknits, out of the book Strange Brew.

We all started somewhere, with square and rectangular shapes knitted simply. Even now with years of knitting under my belt, I still make mistakes that make me want to headdesk. But if you keep going wonderful adventures await you. 😎

I’ve made this for a friends baby (she’s now 5!) Very satisfying knit.

Socks are hard for me. I haven’t successfully knit one yet. We all have to start somewhere though!
