A new blog post will go up later today. It's more of an extended essay, so it has taken some significant work, and I'm very proud of it.

find it objectively hilarious that the United States has a $10,000,000 bounty on this guy’s head for being a member of Al Qaeda.

And the President of the United States is doing photo ops with the same exact dude.

I guarantee that Americans prefer having healthcare over not having healthcare. I believe that Americans would also prefer to have Universal Healthcare over another trillion dollars of taxpayer money going to the Department of Defense.
RFKJ: Americans prefer private insurance.

This is BS. Americans prefer to have insurance over not having insurance. They want cheaper, better care. Many right wing pollsters have asked biased questions to make it sound that people prefer private insurance.

Time for a history lesson from your favorite public health nerds 🤓

After the USSR collapsed, Tuberculosis (TB) surged—especially in prisons. Treatment crumbled. Drug supplies dried up.

The result? A catastrophic outbreak of drug-resistant TB.
Prisons in Post-Soviet Russia Incubate a Plague
The collapse of the Soviet health care system in the 1990s coupled with prisons releasing improperly treated inmates and endemic poverty escalated incidences of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis to epi...
