No one earns even a shred of respect by pandering to Donald Trump — he reads deference as weakness. If Starmer can’t withstand the pressure, he should make way for someone with the backbone to defend the UK’s interests against a tyrant in the White House.

Yes, that’s a real concern of mine that it’s more about control than the wellbeing of young people. I think really good school education could be part of the solution and learn to use it safely. Definitely need regulation too as these apps are designed to be addictive and prey on young people.

And I know Brianna had found friends on TikTok because I listened to a friend talk at her vigil in Glasgow. They had made plans to meet up in future. That was so heartbreaking

I am so torn because there’s no doubt that sm is harming young people and is addictive. BUT, banning cuts vulnerable young people off from supportive communities. Also not all sm is the same. So many kids are on a family Watsapp, that’s also social media.
