Yes! Thank you for this! We only have a few volunteers running this page, on top of other our many other projects going on, so this slips through the cracks. Thank you for this!

This is a great idea!

Do you want to promote it? So other can join? Or get connected with your local chapter so you can build coalition between the two? That’s literally how community building works.

to get involved in mutual aid, but don’t know where to being and you could be that entry point.
January 16, 2026 at 5:49 PM
That’s awesome! Do you have any mutual aid groups that people in YOUR area can join and get involved in? Maybe you can start your own since it seems you have a lot of resources, or enough to be doing this awesome work! There are probably people in your area looking
January 16, 2026 at 5:49 PM
a strike, it doesn’t hold, the people are demoralized and we have to start again.
January 16, 2026 at 5:45 PM
We definitely we don’t have the luxury of time. Hence why we recommend people getting involved in their local chapter and connecting with local mutual groups. Something we just know many folks aren’t doing. No shade, but we just know they aren’t. We also don’t have the luxury of doing 👇
January 16, 2026 at 5:45 PM
That’s totally fine. We don’t have the numbers. We work until we do, and the more people that join, and help out their local chapters, the faster that number goes up. Do you have any local mutual aid groups in your area you would like to promote?

*note, you can help without having signed a card

This is why we have the option of mailing in your strike card. We have the option to avoid the issues you addressed.

for the long haul. Both work in tandem with each other, and both can support each other.
January 16, 2026 at 5:35 PM
Preparing for a long term sustained strike takes an incredible amount of work, and everyone is stretched thin with projects already. That’s why the idea of a strike is a COMMUNAL effort. Some people will call for 1 day strikes to warm people up, while other people will be working on preparing 👇
January 16, 2026 at 5:35 PM
If people around the country call for a date, before we hit our 3.5%, that’s fine, as our mission would still be the same. Making sure the infrastructure is in place and it holds. We believe people need to start somewhere, but that’s no where OUR organizing efforts are at. 👇
January 16, 2026 at 5:35 PM
local unions, and those are the few things to start. We are preparing for a strike that holds. Even a well prepared strike has risk, but we are looking to minimize that risk and harm for as many people as possible. But this isn’t a competition. We do not own the concept of a strike👇
January 16, 2026 at 5:35 PM
This is why we push for a) people to get connected to their local chapters, so the following can take place: raising of strike funds to support strikers, set up food pantries, each chapter gets connected with local mutual aid networks, working with 👇
January 16, 2026 at 5:35 PM
Yes! We are definitely studied on the Black Panthers. Absolutely recommend studying them. Our organization is “simple”. We are decentralized group, organizing for a long term, sustained general strike. In order to do so, we believe in having the infrastructure in place👇
January 16, 2026 at 5:35 PM
We literally do all of this already. Not all chapters have the infrastructure, some have more than others. This is why we push for people to get involved in their local chapters, so more boots on the ground work can happen. But for example, the Los Angeles more infrastructure.

If you scroll down on that page you did a screenshot of, we have non digital options cause we understand that’s a totally valid concern. You also don’t have to provide a real name, nor phone, but we would like an email (we recommend Proton) cause we will be spending info out when a strike occurs
January 16, 2026 at 5:19 PM
a strike and actions like this is really helpful for the overall movement. They help pave the way, and may help get people on board for a long term sustained strike
January 16, 2026 at 5:16 PM
Yes! We are totally down with people doing walkouts and 1 day strikes. Many groups have organized stuff like this and we are always in solidarity with it. It’s just not where we are organizing our efforts. We never said others can’t do stuff. We do agree that people need to get used to 👇
January 16, 2026 at 5:16 PM
But you do that work prior, people should be preparing now. People need to get involved on the local level and get involved now. That is our goal, and we are very firm on the 3.5%. But if other group want to call for a general strike date, and they got the infrastructure then go for.
January 16, 2026 at 5:02 PM
That’s…that’s what we are doing. Thats our whole thing. Stocking up on supplies, but that has to be a COMMUNITY effort on the local level. Many individuals don’t have the funds to stock up. This is why mutual aid is incredibly important. Raising strike fund is important. 👇
