I've just come out of HE, and all the staff had major concerns for both students and themselves. And like you say, principles cost — I just hope that enough in similar positions as you, I'm also refusing to use it on devices, can push back as consumers of the arts, humanities and wherever they can.

Completely agree. I'm 50+, and am seeing an AI deluge in the job market that just seems rabid, esp. as I'm trying to get into areas outside of QA/QC and it's getting tougher to see where to. The barriers may be more age for me, but AI related jobs are everywhere — min pay/0 hours/no training.
