The way Chris pincher has been basically been erased from boris downfall is really instructive in Westminster culture and how these people get away with it
I see we're back to "Johnson resigned because of a party" and not because he employed a known sex pest, lied about what he knew, and more than half his cabinet resigned as a result.

I just don't know what it's going to take for the government to take any action in regard to this.

It isn't a case of the dam bursting, it's been springing leaks for years and everyone is already soaked.
Two men were given 90% of Teesworks on the promise they would take on responsibility of remediating the site.

I've discovered they were charging BP for remediation on a project the oil giant eventually pulled out of.

Teesworks overspent and then asked them for more cash.

a big part of the issue surrounding the use of chatgpt/LLMs in academic research comes down to process vs. product. a lot of us know that the process of doing research matters because that's where intellectual work is done; but some "academics" and lots of techies only care about a fast product

mrhenrymorris.substack.com/p/jonathan-g... The whole piece is superbly written! It perfectly encapsulates the aimless, yet determined, rabidity of minor politicians who achieved something, but nothing really appropriate to that position, through their efforts to misunderstand what or who they are

Today's the day. Let's finally get some common sense legislation through for those with terminal illness.

As medical professionals, let's empower our patients. Hand them autonomy. Let them decide. The Bill is a progressive beacon for terminally-ill adults and I support it. #YesToDignity
Kim Leadbeater concludes her opening speech by telling MPs that this reform "is rigorous, practical and safe and is rooted in the principles that should underpin any legislation. Compassion, justice and human dignity."
