There is a fundamental misunderstanding of NASA that seems to be growing amongst the general population. Launch is less than 10% of the cost of any mission, SX doesn’t build rovers, robotic probes, observatories etc etc
SpaceX is literally making NASA look ridiculous. Not only has he achieved more in a few years than NASA has since we went to the moon, but they had to ask him to rescue their astronauts. Should DOGE just fold NASA into SpaceX?
