I‘ve crossed many times, at many locations. I’ve never had any interactions with US officials going back into my country. When you leave USA for Canada, you don’t deal with anybody. Only deal with USA border patrol going into America.

Just heard your story. Sorry to hear you & your family is being luth through this. Just a thought, why not drive up to Canada? Dont have to deal with any American officials, only Canadian border guards. Then fly from here. Likely the easiest way to get them out quickly.
