The graph, at the top of this entire thread that you're responding to, literally shows that a majority of Brits think it was wrong *to vote to Leave the EU*. You know you're lying. You're a bad-faith bluffer and your politics belongs in the bin for the UK's common good

There is much to disagree with in point 3.
For one, I would point out how Britain likes to see itself: as the proud country that stood alone when it was right, but hard, to do so. Even if that self-image is partly a myth, still, that Britain had it way harder back then than we do now, and did it

A few photos from this evening's #lunar #eclipse , in case people aren't already sick of seeing such
Horizon was clouded out for moonrise. Managed a few rough images as it rose over the cloud layer, and clearer shots once the shadow was nearly gone

As you rightly observe, Brexit was an essential first step for the far right. There's a reason it was high up on the list, on National Front posters last century (see pic),
& the number one, top-priority, all-or-nothing, "sine qua non"... in the BNP manifesto of 2005:

We've come a long way from how we used to see ourselves, if that's it (see attached image)
And I'm afraid I still don't get it, in all honesty. The threat from Russia truly exists, I would not deny it: I don't see the prospect of America helping out, when it comes. & that's what all of this is for

+ though some nationalistic, xenophobic Brits proudly claim their character to be unique/special, they're choosing to be more like the Russians (of all people!) than they realise. Unwilling to countenance a win-win situation where everyone's better off - preferring mutual harm, at any price for hate

It was summed up superbly, years ago, by Denis Lushch in the attached artwork. And people still don't get it, and still get mugged off.
The only problem with this image is that the rich man's big pile of cookies is unrealistically tiny, compared to the kind of mountainous wealth he really possesses

A remarkably far-gone kind of decadence - all the more so, considering the vast opportunity-cost wastage of what they could be doing to make the world in some way better, instead. Malice as a petty hobby when there's so much more & better to do

If you look at the substance of what this small deal means for the UK economy, or real freedoms & rights for people vs FoM, it's tiny
By settling for this, you settle for a long-term bad outcome
& there isn't any reason to settle for it. There never has been

It's because we Brits are just inherently better than you continental types, you see. We just needed to flex a bit (sarcasm, please don't think I actually mean that!!!)
It's all here in Daniel Hannan's video equivalent of this article, broadcast on national television prior to the 2016 referendum

The message it sends? Attack us again when you wish - we'll reward you for it
Trump needed this more than Britain did. He had lashed out at us and the whole world, and, until VE Day, had gotten nothing for it in return- when we, who once "stood alone", relieved the pressure on him and broke first

To say nothing of the UK's big PR boost undermining domestic opposition to Trump - which is the world's best slim hope of getting better outcomes and behaviour from America, sooner rather than never
The UK doesn't have it hard. It's VE Day. What happened to the proud country who said no to bullies?

Britain likes to see itself as having stood "alone" (see attached image- forgetting the entire Empire, Canada...) - for a just cause, at high cost, against a dangerous bully
Now look at 'em. When they don't even have to be "alone" (EU's right there)
Making this announcement on VE Day, of all days!

P.S. It is *really* fucking creepy that you're still randomly snipe-replying to bits and pieces after you've been told multiple times that you aren't wanted. See second screenshot

The English have a rather ugly Russian streak in them at times
"This proposal would give our young people more opportunities and richer, more interesting lives-"
"YEAH BUT WHAT IF A LARGER NUMBER OF EUROPEAN YOUNG PEOPLE ALSO BENEFITTED FROM THAT?"
A win-win is unbearable to hateful nationalists

But what could be more shocking to an American, than seeing a plummy-voiced British leader turning the air blue with insults against their president? We can move them, they can't move us
America needs to wake up and notice something stinks. Let us be their ally, let us help wake a sleeping giant

So you're saying that Brits would prefer not to improve opportunities for their own young people (& have any other benefits of a broader, improved deal with the EU)... if it also helps some European young people, too?
Hateful. Not so much British of them, as Russian! Such attitudes deserve to lose

Take a quick look south / southwest if you have clear skies in the UK early this evening (1st Feb).
Venus is the bright light just above the crescent moon
Saturn's there too, down and to the right from the moon, a lot fainter
