That's... insane. As a PhD student, I designed the course, selected the readings, and designed the course myself with no review or permission needed.

I don't shop at any of those stores, either, and rarely shop on Amazon, but for getting two specific items and making sure no more than one is bought of each, and that it's delivered without revealing my home address... this is the best option.

Also, most TA's are making $15k - $25k PER YEAR and those courses are a full-time job ON TOP of taking courses AND working on a dissertation, grants, presentations and papers for conferences, etc.

Expecting a TA to tolerate someone calling them a demon is insane.

...but also claimed that God created the earth in six days and radiocarbon dating is a lie and the Earth is really only 6,000 years old because the Bible says so... you'd expect that student to earn points?

This isn't kindergarten.

If I gave an assignment asking my students to explain the formation of the Earth based on peer-reviewed articles provided...

And a student turned in 650 words of the most poorly written drivel I've ever read that not only showed zero evidence the student did the reading, but also...

It also helped them learn to write, and I was thorough in reviewing essays to help them improve.

I was both an earth science and journalism double major for both BA and MS, and taught earth science to hundreds of students (freshman thru seniors) at FSU.
