Because someone wanted to own Mickey Mouse for as long as possible it meant using most IP was complicated or impossible, so people started doing it anyway as long as the creator was small enough to not be able to hire a lawyer, now they just make a computer do that instead, but it's all kinda melty

I think that's not clear cut though because people speeding down an arterial in a black neighborhood are often not from that neighborhood (they're commuting though it) while the people endangered are.

Rail is more energy efficient for sure, but if you count the rails between cities, I think the total land used is going to be more for rail

Doing the quick math on this, Hartsfield is 7.3 sq mi. You could fit 481 miles of the narrowest section of the northeast corridor in that area.

Trains are better than flights for sure, but it does seem a little unfair to ignore the miles of track. I wonder how many miles of track could fit in that airport footprint though
