Yes, I booked a very fast-track passport appointment on Sunday, picked it up at midday on Wednesday. Had to go to Peterborough but the cathedral there was a massive treat so ... And my prescriptions go straight to the chemist over the road.

Prawns with their heads still on sautéed in oil, garlic, a chilli (bereft of heat, alas) , coriander and a splash of white wine. Home-made oven chips. Fennel and blood orange salad. Aioli. White burgundy. HNY, dear A. See you on the other side! x

Just finished a re-read (my 6th, I think) and again amazed that it is not only as twisted as a Jacobean tragedy but a different book each time. And, as you say, it’s never been a romance.
