Most of my friends ran to a nearest bookie and made a bet. Some they lost, some they won. Anyway that’s unlikely to happen. So this year probably two more films will need to be seen.

That’s why last year’s prediction I have posted on BlueSky. Believe me lots of people laughed at my prediction. Age is the next, nobody is getting younger. Finally expense. I am not getting paid. It would be nice if a betting firm would sponsor my endeavours.

Thinking about not doing the “prediction” lark next year. Several reasons. When I was working, everything was easy. Most of the films I have seen were well ahead during late Summer and early Autumn. So it was a good lark between my friends. In 24 number of them suddenly died.

Sorry for late reply but I have been in London and became suddenly busy. I believe I have seen now most of the films which will figure in final nominations list. As usual there will be one or two surprises, so I will have to quickly find suitable screenings.

Hopefully he is now better remunerated. Most likely he is going to be occupying very comfortable pent house. Porsche in the garage and housekeeper cooking and cleaning for him during the day.

Viewing films is a problem because all other films stand aside in order you can view all the possible nominated films. I don’t do that I cut through all that pile of films and select just maximum 20 films to view. If at final list of nominees I am short of one or two movies to see I then see them.

I am not regarding BAFTA as important. Everybody will tell you that OSCARS are the most important award in film industry. I am aware that it might make me unpopular but there we are.

What about your brother Jake. Isn’t he going to get nice things to eat? Just asking. By the way is there an equivalent Fortnum & Mason which sells food for animals?
