Mike Johnson’s position is young pregnant American women shouldn’t have to wait before being turned away to die in the parking lot from an ectopic pregnancy the hospital is afraid to treat
atrupar.com
Mike Johnson: "If you're a young, pregnant American citizen women who shows up in an ER and you get treated and they pay the hospital less for treating you than some illegal rabble rouser who came in from some South American country to do us harm, that is wrong."

Russia’s economy is collapsing — and this time, even Julius Caesar can’t save it.

From empty factory floors to collapsing oil revenues — every indicator points to the same truth:
The Putin era is reaching its breaking point. 😿

I visited the apartment building ICE raided on Tuesday today. Story to come, but you can walk right in. Half of the apartments have no doors on them. Children's stuff abandoned in some flats. *Citizen* residents told me they were arrested and held for hours in zipties. This is America

You can joke about Pam Bondi’s ridiculous unprofessionalism all you want, but I’m deeply shocked by it: She acts as if she fears absolutely no consequences, convinced that there will be no more political power transfers. — This should shake everyone to their core.

This has nothing to do with crime. This is an attempt to crush political dissent.

Never before, in our entire 250 year history, has the military or immigration agents been used like this. It's dystopian, illegal, and it should stop.

Trump is threatening to withhold back pay for federal workers furloughed during the shutdown — which goes against a law he signed in 2019, by the way.

This should come as no surprise: Trump and his businesses have been accused of stiffing hundreds of their own workers out of pay over the years.

Why aren’t courts stepping in to stop this? Law enforcement is not supposed to be lawless. We need a reworking of our government from to to bottom to fix this.

1. Federal agents from ICE and other agencies are wrongly detaining U.S. citizens, sometimes detaining them for days, on suspicion that they are undocumented immigrants.

The raids are done without search warrants or other procedures designed to protect civil liberties.
How federal agents are terrorizing American citizens
Last week, hundreds of heavily armed federal agents descended on an apartment complex in Chicago, arriving in Black Hawk helicopters and moving trucks.

Republicans who control the entire government adamantly refuse to reopen the government.
www.notus.org/republicans/...
As Senate Republicans explore options to swiftly end a government shutdown, there is one procedural maneuver leadership is already firmly dismissing: changing the filibuster rules.

“That’s not in the cards,” Majority Whip John Barrasso told NOTUS. “We’re going to continue to bring this continuing resolution to the floor. Three Democrats voted with us yesterday. I know there’s some more that are considering it. We’re going to reopen the government.”
