Chrysotile appears as a silvery-shiny vein in sunlight. It has a scroll-like shape and can separate into long strings, which made it possible to weave into clothing. Johns Manville salesmen had fireproof jackets made with chrysotile, supposedly they could light a sleeve on fire?

To the religious group giving out fully bound books of psalms in front of my kids’ middle school today: 1) good luck getting middle school students to do literally anything; and 2) if you have enough $ to print books that will very likely end up in the trash, you have enough income to be taxed.

Biologists of Bluesky… what are these that I found on my grass? They are mostly spherical, about 1/2 inch diameter, clear to translucent, squish into a gel. A quick search indicated maybe slug eggs?
