I'll bet that went down nicely, Joules. I enjoyed a DoomBar, shared the Gavi. Tea now with my book and then 😴

Also sharing this - despite the daft label, it's a very nice drop 👌

Our eldest daughter took us for an early birthday lunch in Rules Restaurant near Covent Garden at the weekend. Oysters to start and (for me) one or two large tankards of Black Velvet to continue.
A lovely, unexpected treat ❤️

I'd have slathered butter not m*rg onto a couple of thick white slices, liberally salted and brown sauced the pie n chips and wolfed the lot! Probably helped down with this, the last one in the fridge!

I have the Seiji Ozawa/BSO CD and the Andre Previn/LSO recording, too.
I love them both!

I haven't heard the Pollini, yet. Last week I bought 4 CDs, 50p the lot, from a local Oxfam shop. One of them was this, still in cellophane! Played it last night - wonderful 😊

We had a real tree - see my post from earlier Dec. Wedged it into a big ceramic pot and added water to help keep it fresh, as usual. But this year, it absorbed so much that the trunk thickened and burst the pot. Water everywhere the next morning - floor *ruined*. New tree now - done with real ones!

Hi, Lars. Those windows!
We were in Vienna a few weeks ago and, along with many other delights, had a great visit to the Albertina Museum's Chagall exhibition.
