We went to see Hamnet this afternoon - the first time in years that we'd been to a cinema, and it was wonderful. Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday evening 👋😊

We haven't watched a film in a cinema since The King's Speech in 2010, but have just booked to see Hamnet this Sunday! More anon...

I've been reading, or in some cases rereading, all John leCarré's novels. Just finished this one.

January 2021. Out of retirement and into COVID-19 vaccinator action. Dark, sometimes scary days, but we got through it. RIP all those that didn't. Wishing you all a peaceful Bluesky Sunday 👋❤️👋❤️

Finished this Stephen King thriller last night. The story has no vampires or monsters in it (apart from some human ones).
I loved it!

I'd been meaning to read this book for years. I started it on Monday, found it highly readable, and finished it last night. The story itself, with its ambiguous ending, was nothing like I'd expected.

The complete keyboard concerto played by Murray Perahia on today's BachB47 was out of this world, thank you. Happy Tuesday, all!

@lucindahawksley.bsky.social That was a fascinating tour of Charles Dickens' London home in Doughty St yesterday evening, Lucinda, and it was lovely to meet you. Thanks also for signing and dedicating my nephew's early Christmas present to me - what larks! Best wishes 😊

Our eldest daughter took us for an early birthday lunch in Rules Restaurant near Covent Garden at the weekend. Oysters to start and (for me) one or two large tankards of Black Velvet to continue.
A lovely, unexpected treat ❤️
