On the 71st anniversary of the Brown v. Board of Education decision, a reminder #Virginia had a case rolled into that Supreme Court decision after Barbara Johns as a student led a walk out/strike to protest the poor conditions of her school.
She led the change.

Found out this weekend that the first black man to run for LG in VA was my cousin, Moses Riddick. He ran in 1969 and was also the 1st black delegate to the DNC from VA. Advocacy and Virginia politics are in my blood!
