"Sunset Angel"

I found another angel in Maple Hill Cemetery. I think I’ve mentioned it before but, I like angels. Huntsville, Alabama.

No one ever publishes the ugly pictures do they? The power lines. The hodgepodge color of lights to drive away the darkness around the trophy houses. The antennas that adorn the tallest mountains -- crowned with flashing lights.

You may try to filter out the ugly but it's still there. #Ugly

I would have called it “Rainbow Alley” instead of “Clinton Color Walk”. I’m just sayin’.

Y’all know anybody that would like to pose at (checks data) 5:38AM in the cold rain? No? Pity.

I'm always amazed when I see people run red lights. I used to never see it. Now I see it on a regular basis.

People that don't have time to follow the rules, betting their life that the rest of us do. Guess how that will end.

What's the smell? Did I wake up in a rodeo arena? I wonder if they'll let me take pictures? Oh....wait.... #FAA

Liars gotta lie.

They keep saying they have deported "millions". It's a lie.

Why do they want to build dozens of concentration warehouses if they are *deporting* "millions"? Deport them after holding them for weeks. months, years?

How many bosses that hired "illegals" have been locked up?

"Photographer's Protest"

It was a beautiful sunrise on Monte Sano this morning. I hope you enjoy looking at it. Before I ruin it for you.

“All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honour, duty, mercy, hope.”

— attributed to Winston S. Churchill.

"Attributed". That reminds me of another great quote:

"Damn an eye-witness! Always messing up a good story!"

Bill Smith?

(I just spent 5 minutes looking for the "cover" of the FAA's AIM. I'm hopelessly lost.)

I watch group texts like I'm watching an accident happen. Sooooo many chances for misunderstanding. People will "save" themselves from typing one word to cause mass confusion.

"Bill says hello"

"Bill who?"

(Rant on)

Swear to God: Talking to my wife is like talking to pilots.

"Delta four thirty nine say speed"

"We can do whatever you'd like Center"

"Delta four thirty nine i presume say speed"

"uh we're doing two eighty"

Does the lack of precision in communications drive other controllers mad?

Did you click on that link?

"The first mass privatization of state property occurred in Nazi Germany between 1933 and 1937:..."

"However, it was in the 1980s under Margaret Thatcher in the United Kingdom and Ronald Reagan in the United States that privatization gained worldwide momentum."

It wasn’t hard to figure out where the Sun was going to rise this morning. That vertical beam showed up about 20 minutes before sunrise and pointed the way.

Anybody know why IAH traffic is getting the grand tour this morning?

I noticed the contrails. 🤠 The turns were so big I figured they had to be military. Nope.

Remember last week when Trump said NATO didn’t do much in Afghanistan?

March 23,2021.

U.S. troops in country 3,500.
NATO troops in country 10,000.

TWENTY YEARS after we asked for their help.

The USA should apologize. Publicly. Trump won’t. We should.

I chose poorly. I waited until sundown and then — knowing better — started the walk back to the car a few minutes after sunset. So when the sky caught fire, I was unprepared.

Blue State people, this is what it's like, living in a Red State.

Senator Britt isn't a nut. But she has to get the "nut vote" (GA-GOP's phrase, not mine) to win elections. So she'll send you a nutty letter to prevent you posting a calm, rational response and costing her an election.

"Virgines Ortūs Solis"

A couple on the mountain this morning were watching the sunrise for their first time. If you’ve never seen one before...this is the prettiest sunrise ever.

Imagine if the white unemployment rate was 8.3%.

Now do you understand why Trump (and the GOP since…forever) calls it government waste, fraud and abuse?

Some folks forgot Democrats have used the Federal Government to lift people (of all kinds) out of poverty. The GOP didn’t forget. @nytimes.com
