New in PN: John Roberts created a monster. It's about to eat him.

"After all, how can the rightwing justices expect a future president — particularly a Democratic one — to accept rulings limiting the exercise of their power from a Court that served as the judicial stooge of an aspiring dictator?"
John Roberts created a monster. It's about to eat him.
The Supreme Court faces an existential dilemma of its own creation.

No single scandal is a distraction from another scandal. The totality of the scandals is a distraction from all of them.

That made sense in my head.

Putin has signed a decree on spring military conscription.

According to the plan, 160,000 people will be drafted (the highest number in 10 years).

Putin promised coscripts wouldn't be sent to war. However, coscripts have been taken captive and found killed in his "special military operation."

For days before the Vances’ 3-hour invasion of Greenland, U.S. representatives went door-to-door hoping to find just ONE household that would welcome the hillbillies.

100% of them said, “No.”

If only Americans had been smart enough to say the same thing.

They love this “run the government like a business” canard coz it conjures images of efficiency and accountability.

The reality is, it’s about increasing profits for the few over the wellbeing of the many.

If the government operated the way a business does, the citizenry should rightfully revolt.
