Mad, bad, and dangerous to know.
That's actually not much of an exaggeration of the story they made up for Theda Bara:

I've always loved reading about the stars that they made up fake background stories for like "she was born to a Voodoo priestess and a convict who escaped from Devil's Island" and it turns out that she was actually the daughter of a shopkeeper from Hoboken, New Jersey.

I've tried to be mature and resist as long as I can, but I can't hold it in any longer:

Sombre tits would be a great name for a Goth p0rn site.

It's weird and I dig it. It feels a bit like the more experimental side of sludge a la Acid Bath.

I haven't, but I'm listening now.

Aww, shoulder-cats are the best.

That thing will absolutely survive a nuclear apocalypse. Still see old minitrucks like this occasionally in the US, but not as much since Cash For Clunkers.

My dad's first work truck when he started his plumbing company in the mid-80s was a Chevy Luv (rebadged Isuzu).

Rest assured, in case it was not painfully obvious, I did not write that book about Kirk.

Yeah I don’t even talk about it anymore. Honestly I’ve been too distracted by life to put any effort into promoting it these last few years. I’m trying to get back into the swing of things though. Thank you!

Is it sad that I know exactly which episode of Would I Lie To You you're watching?

Repurposing dead malls as show venues is an awesome idea. I once went to a metal show at a closed down Christian bookstore. Good times, until the Fire Marshall showed up and shut it down.

Well, self-promotion makes me intensely uncomfortable, but you did ask (and I really need to get over that anyway) so, this is my first (and so far only) novel:

You are absolutely under no obligation to actually buy this dumb thing, let alone read it.

I’d love to use one of his paintings as a book cover someday. If I ever write anything that fits his style.

I was just listening to Joe Jackson's "Real Men" (more timely than ever etc. etc.) the other day and, to be honest, I was introduced to that song by Strange Little Girls.

Yeah, I haven't really listened to much of her more recent stuff either. I think "From The Choirgirl Hotel" might be my personal favorite.

Oh awesome! I recognized the art style right away as this dude:

He lives in Eugene, Oregon and does amazing work.

Speaking of...the episode of Beavis and Butthead where they watch "Silent All These Years" and Beavis says "is that Dave Mustaine?" and then starts singing along like Mustaine, is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Honestly, I don't know if I would have gotten into Tori if my older sister wasn't into her. Although I was a huge Neil Gaiman fan in the 90s, so I probably would have discovered her that way. And I did see a few of her videos on MTV.

I don't know if this is Anthrax's best pop culture-based song, but it's definitely their least cheesy.

This one's pretty good too, though:
