I ❤️ that Sinners doesn't try to explain the hoodoo or black spiritual themes in the film. After the movie I heard a group of non-black boys saying they liked it but they didn't get certain parts. That's truly the best outcome we can get when making a movie influenced by a closed spiritual practice

This part also got my attention: "Within 90 days ... the Secretary of Defense, in coordination with the Attorney General, shall determine how military and national security assets, training, non-lethal capabilities, and personnel can most effectively be utilized to prevent crime."

I'm so glad I went to the theater if only for the music/ringshout scene, I needed to hear that with amazing sound 🥹
