Thanks ian jones quartey for intrestingly bringing us the existance of that orange mutt. And ultimatly became a new comfort character that I love not just because of outnof pity for the character, but how intresting his design and history is.

Also thanks for that banger of a special! :)

Oh it’s today!

Happy 7th aniversary to the OK KO Let’s Be Heroes episode amd special “Crossover Nexus”! Aka that one episode that introduced me to CN’s first oc and mascot.

It's been 7 years since Moxy Moto was last seen alive in Cartoon Network City

Jokes and fixations aside, this was an incredible special, despite the fact it was cut short mid production, and you can really tell the people behind it know their Cartoon Network History

When KO finds himself trapped inside a mysterious place, he encounters other Cartoon Network Heroes and meets with Garnet, Ben, and Raven, and they all band together to defeat the villain and escape in "Crossover Nexus", aired 7 Years Ago. #OKKOLetsBeHeroes #DayInFandomHistory

Exactly, and to be honest in those last few seasons the show went from the series having a larger, rotating writing team and guest writers; to the people who wrote "Warren" and "Fire Ant" writing every episode while also making Aqua Teen Hunger Force at the same time

I def felt that certain eps were OOC when I originally watched them, but now that I have more mature distance and can see what the team was trying to do, it feels very much like an expansion of what had already been happening in, say, "Fire Ant" or "Warren"

Anyone have that gif of Zorak overlayed on the moon?
ghostplanet.bsky.social
They did, but ultimately I feel like I was what the show was building up to in the context of its escalating vulgarity, it's presence on Adult Swim at the time, and how I know SGC2C was doing behind the scenes at that point

Some people think it reaches OOC, but I'm not sure I agree with that

This is true, you should rewatch Knifing Around 9 more times regardless

good advice under any circumstances

I don't think there's much in Space Ghost Coast to Coast that can be misunderstood too bad, but if you think Space Ghost really loved Bjork and they didn't just have a loveless Hollywood marriage where he was avoiding her and she had her ex living with them, rewatch Knifing Around 9 more times

Their relationship is hilarious and a perfect satire of performative celebrity marriages, but part of this is that I can't imagine they were still married by the next C2C episode and for Bjork's sake I hope Space Ghost was single in the episodes "Idlewild South" and "Dreams"

Moxy’s design and lopsided look is also so good, so many 3D characters from the 90s tried to take asymmetrical 2D designs and not care about how that translated to 3D

I love the way the Moxy Show has aged, I wish there was more of it left to watch because wow what a look for 1993. Also the practically-built sets!
ghostplanet.bsky.social
When I say "The CGI in this show aged really well all things considered*" I'm talking about how well put together and expressive Moxy looks for Pre-Toy Story CGI in a composited non-CGI environment

*[minus the impressive for the time but choppy live Moxy animation]
Moxy with a bit of a smug or bored look on his face Moxy facing a monster in his closet Moxy getting sentimental Moxy leaning over and facing the camera with a smug, Muppet like expression
