Yes they are, but we require tools for real accountability. As we can see, objecting en masse to something publicly is not getting us much. To be fair, being held in contempt for lying under oath is not the immediate remedy I wish it would be, but it's not nothing.

Let them be, they didn't sign on for this. Most National Guard are just standing around. In Seattle in 2020 they came as participants, in uniform, to the occupied Floyd protest and one of them took the stage to praise the protest. They're screwed, not getting paid, ordered to duty.

Wow, I had no idea, but it makes all sorts of sense. I'm wondering now how the kids and grandkids of Vietnamese immigrants feel about this. They're such a rad community, creating so much art and opening businesses centered around Vietnamese American culture.
