So much of Farage's playbook is lifted straight from Trump and that is because his motives are largely the same. Just to take one motive, what reason might there have been to set up Reform UK as a limited company, with him as the majority shareholder,

Trump's words about Greenland are perplexing. The US already has an agreement with Denmark that would allow many more troops to be stationed there. In fact, in the Cold War the US had over 10,000 personnel on Greenland. Now there are only about 200.

If a website appeared overnight that gave hundreds of millions of users the opportunity to create CSAM you'd expect governments to shut it down quickly, so the question is why X gets a pass when it's done just that?

It feels so great when Zack Polanski himself likes one of my posts! Manna from heaven! Maybe that's a bit strong, but it is great to be seen by the person I respect most in British politics. It is easy to feel small and without agency. Zack is empowering those without a voice.

I need some career advice, dear friends.

My integrity is important to me. The drama playing out in the United States has alarmed me for a while, because I believe in the principles of the Enlightenment, reason, fairness and truth, and it's important to me

Brexit is Farage's only achievement and it has been a catastropic failure for the UK. 'End of', as his followers might say.
We don’t need to call Farage names.

Brexit’s record does that for us - a catastrophic failure.

Alongside a whole lot of donations from some pretty questionable sources.

Funny how loud the insults get when the facts start to land.

Starmer's interaction with Trump is like a reluctant teenager, always walking two steps behind, always procrastinating, always late. Meanwhile, Trump retains the initiative, trampling on international order while Starmer and the other European leaders issue mild reproaches after the damage is done.

For many people in the USA, even supposedly educated ones, the idea that evil means cannot be justified even by good ends is an irrelevant nicety.

Unfortunately, this attitude takes us back to the dark ages and makes it impossible to argue that your regime is any better than Putin's Russia.

This is one of the best, concise explanations of Trump's behaviour that I've seen. It's interesting that Erich Fromm coined the phrase to explain the psychology of Hitler. Now how do we get rid of him?

I think The Express needs to find their Xmas spirit.

We're paying £476m for a regime that tear gasses babies & destroys shelters in freezing conditions.

We should divert that money to a functioning and fair migration system.

The BBC is the most trusted news source in the UK. Gorbachev said that his news source of choice leading up to his Perestroika movement was the BBC. The article below shows that the BBC is the second most trusted news source in the US (after the Weather Channel).
