You can kinda see it in some of the Xeno books, the Tau ones are all about Shadowsun, Kais, and Farsight just being bone tired and exhausted and wanting to get off the ride but knowing they can't

A good example of why direct inflation adjustment of this sort is more deceptive than clarifying when applied over very long stretches of time where consumption patterns are very different.
