After listening to the interview with Rombas CEO, I feel their downfall came from prioritizing capital markets over customer.
E.g. selling separate vacuum and mop units when customers wanted integrated devices. They also didn't use LiDAR, opting for cameras. Propably to collect more customer data.

For decades, the equation was automatic: 8% revenue growth meant 6% more headcount. With AI this reflex is off.
