They did indeed go elsewhere…. Still it was a beautiful sunrise and twittering goldfinches kept me company!

Lucky enough to still have a few breeding territories in my village (Lincolnshire) :-)
So often invertebrates are seen as worthless and disgusting and killing them means nothing regardless of any potential threat.
Yet they are fundamental to our life.
Seems to me that it’s like merrily sawing away on the trunk end of a treebranch you are sat on.
