ESPECIALLY when the jobs market is particularly terrible to new grads.

Know your value younger ones. A publisher wouldn't be interested unless they thought your game would be successful. Push back on them, negotiate.

Like why would companies bother to negotiate with a 40 year old who has options and money to fall back on when they can push around a 22 year old with a degree in game design?
