Heeft Yesilgöz' voorganger Rutte hier al iets over gezegd?

You should move to Europe. You will only break your hand.

Als Poetin ons nu zou aanvallen zou je er niets van merken.

Zelensky is in Churchill's league, but that is not how Trump sees him. Trump sees him as the pesky little leader of a pesky little country who should know his place.

Solovyov is dus vrijwilliger om als kanonnenvoer naar het front gestuurd te worden? Of toch niet?
December 28, 2025 at 5:18 PM
They probably will. Trump needs a distraction from the Epstein files and they know ambushing Zelenskyy makes great television. But they also know they will have to up the ante and make it even more spectacular than the first time for high ratings.

It's not only that they are not knowledgeable about anything, but that they despise the concept of knowledge.

He is correct: when he was Epstein's best pal he was still a Democrat.

And, I fear, how weak the EU is that is good at drafting legislation, but extremely bad at taking decisive action.

Must admit I never got past the Madeleines. The rest of what I know about 'À la recherche du temps perdu' I learned from the Summarize Proust-competition.

Please prove this by blocking Chat Control and other authoritarian attempts at mass surveillance of EU citizens.

Europe needs to make it crystal clear: any US attempt to annex Greenland will immediately trigger a mass sell-off of US treasuries held by the EU and its allies.

If you have a paramilitary force behind you that is willing to subvert democratic norms and if you control all (social) media, you don't need a base.
December 22, 2025 at 11:32 PM
Well, let's hope for some serious MAGA-infighting when daddy's gone.
December 22, 2025 at 11:26 PM
I am afraid it is not possible to go back to the state of things before Trump. A new democratic president will have to deal with the problems of the day (perhaps the economy, perhaps a Chinese blockade of Taiwan) and won't have the time or the means to undo all of Trumps damage.
December 22, 2025 at 11:23 PM
I don't think he can win an election, but if Trump chokes on a burger he will be president. As he is far more ideological and far more focused than Trump (and a disciple of Peter Thiel, the guru of techno fascism), he can be far more dangerous than Trump.

I don't want to be the wet blanket thrower, but what about the couch guy?
December 22, 2025 at 10:42 PM
And he hasn't been in office for a year yet. More than three years of destruction to go.

On a more cheerful note: Biscuit looks a bit like my Waffie.
December 22, 2025 at 5:26 PM
You are right, but apparently not everyone cares about that. Otherwise there would be no ICE agents rounding up the innocent.

The official plan will be to rebuild the White House bigger, better and more beautiful. But Trump never pays his bills, so the work will stall after the destruction phase.
December 22, 2025 at 5:21 PM
My prediction is: by the time he leaves office the White House will be razed to the ground completely.

Europe needs to make it crystal clear: any US attempt to annex Greenland will immediately trigger a mass sell-off of US treasuries held by the EU and its allies.

We will call it: the Trump dump.
