Terrific

This is shocking. Pauline Hanson will get her nasty, racist way if you even vote Liberal. Don't even need to swallow your decent instincts and vote directly for her.

Well said. There is nothing more important than climate change. I am voting 1 for Verity Cooper to give us a change of a decent future. Labor have been extremely disappointing on climate action. They have made token changes only. The Coalition lie about climate action. They don't want to do anything

When you vote 1 for Verity, you don't leave your conscience and your heartfelt wishes for the future at the door. Politics can be a grubby business with compromises having to be made so that MPs forget what's important. Kindness and no career aim mean that Verity is different. Good, different.

Not just their work effort, albeit impressive. Also they don't rush to war as an alternative to thinking and listening. Recall Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. What good have they done us, except to get younger people to march and to remember on Anzac Day? Many MPs think they know best, but not these.

Quite frankly, it is the best thing that we can leave for our children and for theirs. Much better than just money. And to avoid the question "where were you, Mum/Dad, when they could have changed this?"
April 17, 2025 at 10:32 PM
They're both thinking on the run or not thinking. Or they like it as it is but pretend otherwise. Compared with these superficial policies, scrapping, or limiting negative gearing and bringing back fill cap. gains tax starts to sound sensible

A grating commentator wouldn't know what is great
April 17, 2025 at 10:28 PM
That one really nails the issue. Hits the nail on the head, so to speak. Listening to the media, you'd think that a rise in house prices is like a piece of good news. Not for many, but I guess they're on social media. We have two dud policies from two dying parties. No answers on Costa Living either

He's not going to preference family first?

Coopers, I hope!

Very good point. Same issues everywhere

The man is extremely negative. Always looking for enemies. Hasn't even got Abbott's cutting slogans.
April 17, 2025 at 11:04 AM
And what about empty houses? Investment in housing doesn't guarantee providing houses for rent. Some owners are so well off they don't even need to claim negative gearing. It's complex.

A cop in the past. An investor in unproductive money-making now. Helping to keep house prices rocketing up. No incentive to make housing affordable for non-millionaires.

Gee. Nah!

Lying by major party politicians is rife in this election campaign
