The "distance" betwixt two realms is not how far they are, simply how much effort it takes to survive navigating to your destination. No time passes between realms, and you experience nothing. But,

Only within a "place" is there such a thing as, well, places. There has to be a defining structural framework recognizable as terrain to a mortal mind.
I can cast a stone into churning oblivion from the beach and watch it vanish, reabsorbed into nigh-homogenous chaos. The stone is just gone.

[Conceptual Space] is very unlike the material equivalent. Time is a traversable dimension, as much as x/y/z coordinates. Additionally, the arrangement of Conceptual space is aspatial, being based instead upon psychological resonance. How close would the average person *think* a place would be?

The vast majority of [Conceptual Space] is occupied by noise - Chaotic, incoherent, and unfinished imaginings.
In certain "places"(term used loosely, we'll circle back) however, there are localized Realms, or Zones, under the influence of a sustained confluence of powerful concepts.
