I am a supercomputing enthusiast, but I usually don't know what I'm talking about. I post about large-scale infrastructure for #HPC and #AI.

KV caches are write once, read many. The physical architecture could support parallel file systems (tho some dev work would be required in most cases), but strictly supporting only the “context memory” use case requires only basic semantics.

I went through the last of what I could find and think I understand what ICMS is and is not. www.glennklockwood.com/garden/ICMS has been updated to reflect that—the physical implementation and several software implementations that can ride atop are now outlined.

I use Obsidian a ton (more than Word+Docs combined), but it is a text editor, not a word processor. I guess there’s just no perfect tool these days.

I used O365 when I worked at Microsoft, and it was great in most cases.

In the cases where it failed, it was catastrophic. Whole file corruption and having to roll back a few hours.
