It always amazes me that I'll still see people out in the wild acting like Baldur's Gate 1 EE was absolutely, completely ruined by one NPC that is unimportant to the story beyond being a shopkeeper and an option sidequest.

With a little more knowledge on what happened to make the hero lose his mother and more a connection to his kin, he dives further into the mountains to face Deathevan. But before that, we face a true terror from the hero’s and Bow’s childhood.
