I really hate doing this, but when I had my breakdown last month, I took two weeks off from work, and they didn't pay me for my time off, and I am broke.

If you find it in your heart to tip even the minimum amount then I would be enternally grateful

I never do much reading on my holidays. I do 90% of my reading on my commute to work, a 3-hour round trip.

I get distracted too easily.

last Saturday, when we came to the path that we normally take to go home, and I didn't take it Casper sat down and refused to follow me. You could tell by the look on his face he had enough. Molly on the other hand will go all day so long as there is something to sniff.

Not a thing, other than popping over to Stirling to visit our son and walking the dogs. They are going to hate me. I've become addicted to breaking my weekly step count. I do an average of 40,000 steps a day at work, which will equate to about 5 hours of dog walking.

I once posted a review for a completely differnt book, when i hadn't even written the review for the book the review was supposed to be about. That was embaressing, having to tell the author I hadn't actually written ttheir review yet

If you count a chapbook I released early in my career (which I do), and a novel I wrote pseudonymously (a football novel of all things) today marks the publication of my thirteenth novel in English. It’s called The Night That Finds Us All and is available wherever scary books are sold

Quick question for authors: If I started adding interviews to my blog would anyone be interested in volunteering?

"Immacolata, for all her monstrosity, is an entity of magic and dreams, however horrifying, and therefore worthy of consideration. Whereas Shadwell is so utterly empty, wretched and ruined, nothing can redeem or endear him."

This is a long and comprehensive exploration of a truly brilliant book. If you haven't read the book, I should warn you there are some spoilers, but you should read it anyway.

Coincidentally, I reread Weaveworld a couple of years ago, and it's aged much better than a lot of SFFH from that time.

For the first time, I encountered a story that echoed my own inchoate fantasies and preoccupations, that expressed ideas and philosophies I barely understood in articulate terms, but which I felt with a fundamentalist zeal.

Thank to everyone who has shared and donated. It’s crap how you don’t get sick pay for at least six months. Especially when they sent me home when I went in after the first week. They could see I was still broken.
