He/they/whatever. Musician, writer, poet, photographer, naturist, gay, married, campervanner, atheist, BN members. Proudly woke. My work may be mediocre but at least I'm human. I enjoy nature, travel, books, films, good food and wine, preferably naked.

And when I do remember to take a picture, I don't post it.

This is a courgette, feta and mint soup from a few days ago. I only remembered when I looked at my gallery for tonight's dinner.

Honestly, bskiers, we have good honecooked food every night. I just rarely think to take a photo till it's finished.

Then I think: that was amazing, I should tell the world. Never mind.

In fairness to your readers, there's so much creative detail in your work, none of us will remember everything.

Also, I think war pteranadons should only be ridden by women.

That's wonderful. You are a strong human.

Tonight's dinner was leftover veg (courgette, cauliflower and celery) thrown in a pan with good olive oil, garlic and chorizo.

Thanks for the shopping list. I think I've only seen four of them.

I didn't know about this Signal For Help hand gesture until today. I'm quite sure that a lot of other people don't know it either (as demonstrated in this video). If you just learned it now too then it was worth posting.

This is a long and comprehensive exploration of a truly brilliant book. If you haven't read the book, I should warn you there are some spoilers, but you should read it anyway.

Coincidentally, I reread Weaveworld a couple of years ago, and it's aged much better than a lot of SFFH from that time.

Thank you!

I shall revisit that one. I thought I knew it but obviously missed the tentacles.

I remember telling a friend about it when he named his son Magnus. 🤭

I can't remember a story with tentacles. Which one was that?

Sorry to be Mr grumpy-drawers, but I think it's judgemental to dismiss any religion other than Christianity as "a cult."

And calling every god apart from Yahweh "the devil" is a bit patronising.

There may be subconscious parental influence there.

I loved it too.

I absolutely loved 'Under The Moon', a short, beautifully written SFFH story collection by E.M. Faulds. Small in size, enormous (sublunary) in scope, and frequently moving.

I have all of these books, and every one is brilliant.

Undertow has never disappointed me.

After some thought, there's now a link on my profile where folks can find easy links to find my stuff and even make contact (if required).

It's basic, doesn't feature a bunch of my earlier works, but it'll do for now.

Withered Hill was great, so I've just added the other one to my wishlist.
