Yeah I noticed this. :( frustrating that they get everywhere. At least they are somewhat easy to spot..

Hot take: platforms don't need to keep growing and building to be good. Providing a consistent service is far more valuable than constant updates and changes that nobody really asked for. Man power is better spent moderating and dealing with false reports than "growing" the platform.

fair, but my point was they didn't draw me in to it by telling me I was in the top 5%. tbh i think it's probably just because I type more than I vc and i had 2 partners for most of this year so lots of chatting to be done

It's certainly a different medium but it is super fun and I agree it definitely helps in interesting ways when it comes to 2D art :D.

If you want something close to webtoons, I use Tapas and that's like. Okay. But they are mostly not really focusing on indie comics as much (though there is a discord server). Then there's also ComicFury, which I love. Maybe not as user friendly but a great website with no ads.
