Cost of living is up but I just bought 4 crates of Pepsi Max that works out 27p per can, and got a tub of Ben and Jerry's for £3.50 (not a promotional price). So at least my boyfriend will be happy.

That makes a lot of sense. I think my brain broke a few years ago when I realise this doesn't actually count as socialising. Something clicked during COVID when everyone was just yelling into the void and nobody was listening to each other.

"lots of people found that part tedious and annoying" well maybe not all games are made for everybody. maybe the masses get loads of games to play. maybe this is the first time a game has truly scratched that itch for me and now I have to go back to the same monotonous nonsense y'all are playing

I've been getting a lot out of just wandering around websites on Nekoweb. Definitely feels like an improved way to spend my time online - but it doesn't totally meet one's need for social interaction.

Yeah I totally get what you mean on both accounts. I personally just wish I could give it up, throw my smart phone in the bin and live without it, but the sad truth is my (and many others) social lives genuinely depend on it.

When you say "people" do you mean users? or the people creating social media? I also feel this sentiment. Social media, at this point just feels like something you *need* to have rather than something any of us particularly enjoy or benefit from.
