Just seen the BBC's director general Tim Davie try to justify the corporation's pro-Israel bias in its news reporting as "navigating a path of impartiality in a polarised world". It is bigots like Davie that have created the polarisation.

If you complain to IPSO about the Mail's blatantly inaccurate reporting of the No Kings protests,at which the Mail claimed there was "widespread violence", IPSO tell you that it is not in the UK, so nothing they can do. Musk owns a huge data centre near the under-privileged Boxtown, Memphis. The centre runs his AI venture, which demands power in excess of what utilities can provide. So it uses 35 unlicenced huge mobile generators which emit methane into an already polluted atmosphere. Musk says nothing about this.

I'm reading Luke Harding's book "Invasion", about the war in Ukraine. The book quotes persecuted Russian opposition activist Vladimir Kara-Murza as stating that, internal oppression inevitably leads to external aggression. He was talking about Putin's Russia - but this could also be about Trump.

The Trump regime's reckless intransigence is seen in their recent disgusting attempts to smear the reputation of the illegally deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia. The regime has not presented any evidence that he may be guilty of anything punishable - because there isn't any. It was done out of hatred.

Trump's been whining about reporting on CBS re Ukraine, & Greenland, which was critical of the US president. Trump said that this was "illegal". He wants Brendan Carr of the FCC to remove CBS' licence. Carr is an extremist zealot who defends free speech but wants it suppressed when it's criticism.

Another concerning aspect to the Trump regime - a crowded field - is that self-confessed white nationalist Laura Loomer can get senior military personnel fired for alleged disloyalty. How do we know that Loomer is not a Russian asset? She could be working to destabilise the US military.
