As another example; there is plenty of media that we extrapolate on and analyze (I'd dare to say over-analyze, but you know what gets said about glass houses) to the point of creating what is functionally a whole new piece of media

[2/2] COROLLARY: You don't actually need to write a whole-ass graphic novel to achieve that narrative context. You do need to know what the story *is*, but once you do, you can literally just draw contextless snapshots that raise more questions than they answer and people will fill in the blanks.
