It would be nice if we lived in a world where everything made sense. Alas...

It could be handled better. Brackets perhaps?
"As someone who struggles with acronyms to begin with," muttered [y/n] to the virtual hedgehog, "I honestly believe adding brackets around the name insert mechanism would help clear up a lot of confusion."

In fanfic I think it's supposed to mean "your name" for self insert stories. Used in a sentence:
"A stranger came up to y/n to explain what the pointless and confusing acronym meant."

It does have four arms, for whatever that is worth?

That sliver of white from the sheet visible behind her head makes it look like you have a dog that wears a yarmulke!

If a remake is needed, then since the third was flawed but had some promising aspects, that should get the remake in order to set up the fourth (and final) entry in the series.
Agreed that the originals should be left as they are.

Saturos cannot, although Agatio can use a similar move with Rising Dragon.
But more to the point when it comes to this piece: what a torso!

Nothing says stubbornness quite like lifelong Midwestern bureaucratic power structures when a younger/newer person dares to make budgeting suggestions involving $50 or less.
And senators from Lemuria...

Yeah, the machine that never gets mentioned again, related to the vortex subplot which is mostly dropped at that point, and all because of the main story quest to get a feather, which becomes irrelevant as well.
And lapses in logic by our band of heroes, stumbling into one mistake after the next.

Agreed on that last point. If Camelot had an endpoint this was leading to, then we can chalk up the lack of a new game to just poor sales.
As messy as it was, I can't give up on what Dark Dawn was at least trying to do. When there is talk of a remake, this is the one to remake. Fix, and conclude.

Talking was a big issue (over explaining to 8 year olds and younger and all that) and I agree about the world being limited. So many new, yet ancient civilizations we never saw in the first game, and those old towns erased. As if they made a similar game to Golden Sun, but not a Golden Sun game.

A typical reaction. For its 15th anniversary in Japan I went on a tangent about how it was strange and kind of a mess, and that was both its strength and weakness. Easy enough game for 8 year olds, but with a dominatrix inspired antagonist and a town of corpses?

GoldenSunArtInitiative: Dark Dawn turns 15 (Japanese Edition)
We are in that sweet spot, where it is officially October 28th for me, and still the 28th in Japan. This was the release date for the most recent Golden Sun game (deep sigh) 15 years ago. I would be r...

Thanks Foxy. It's been over half a year since writing this, almost a year since the choice was made, and nearing two years from the incidents causing the breakup.
A slow death to GSAI, but it means keeping this account active into 2026. For the 25th anniversary of Golden Sun! So that's a positive.
