Dr. Pufflesteen's Monster: the most capable CMOS overdrive I'm aware of. Expanding on the Dr. Pufflesteen w/ presence and boost controls. Natural-feeling overdrive, warm upper harmonics. A finger-picking dream also does serious gain, and possibly that Special Sauce for your solid-state amp.
