Beach reads 2025 are here—and they’re hotter than the summer sun. Imagine this: warm sand beneath your feet, waves crashing in the distance, and a book you can’t put down in your hands.

What are your favorite summer books?

Her books are packed with sharp banter, messy but lovable characters, and the kind of emotional depth that sticks with you long after you’ve finished. Whether you’re into friends-to-lovers, enemies-to-lovers, or just need a cozy escape, Emily H. has you covered.

If you’ve ever found yourself staying up way too late because just one more chapter turned into the whole book, then you’ve probably already fallen under the spell of Kristin Hannah.

Some authors can craft villains so charming, sexy, and undeniably compelling that you find yourself wishing the princess would give in to the dark side just this once. You know, to see where it goes.

Maybe she can find Prince Charming later.

Anybody still obsessed with the Empyrean series? 😭

Will spend my night lost in Xaden's onyx eyes and Tairn's grumpy dad comments.

I had some of these on my TBR earlier but didn't get to them yet. Just realized that literally everything on my TBR now has a black/white/red aesthetic going and I kind of love when that happens. ❤️🤍🖤🩶

I have Kings of the Wyld and Suffer the Children on audio as well.

Nature books may not be my main genre. But every once in a while, I pick up a book that completely changes the way I see the world. What books do that for you?

While you may forget the specifics of a book, you'll never forget how it made you feel.

This feeling, you may forever evoke at will.

Essentially, on an emotional level, you can revisit an entire world in a single thought.

That's pretty neat.

My 2024 goal was to read 12 books- one a month. I almost doubled it 🥹 These were my reads of the year (ACOSF is currently on loan so she is sadly not pictured 😌) #BookSky 💙📚

I don't think I want a new year this time around, I want a gently used year like a 2015 or maybe a 1998 if it's in good shape idk

I’ve needed an escape and so have been turning to fiction, and y’all, I haven’t read in so long a book as exhilarating and beautifully humane as Barbara Kingsolver’s “Demon Copperhead.” I turned the last page and yet can’t get the characters and the writing out of my head. Do yourselves a favor.

Writing is an act of rebellion.
Writing is an act of creation.
Writing is an act of salvation.
Writing is an act of exploration.
Writing is an act of emotion.
Writing is an act of confession.
Writing is an act of speculation.
Writing is an act of reflection.
Keep writing.

What a turnaround for typos and grammatical mistakes. After years of being irritants, they are now quaint and charming evidence that the text was written by a human being.

Since we’re talking about how much billionaires suck again, here’s a reminder that your local indie bookstore deserves your business this holiday season. They have gift cards and are happy to mail stuff out. Same goes for @bookshop-org.bsky.social. Buy books. Give books. Support bookstores.
