Every six months a UK paper takes its turn to write up a freely-accessible list and call it an "exclusive".

You have a lot of confidence in my ability to identify accents correctly!

And now I'm listening to an English-language podcast, the same EU-funded advert for the wines of Bordeaux (all of them) but in a Canadian accent.

Ads on my podcasts are very rare. Today's is for the wines of Bordeaux and is co-funded by the EU.

Garbage Tory MP on Iain Dale's show claiming that Jenrick comments about not seeing white faces were 'taken out of context'. And invents a context where he was talking about English-language skills. Also, this programme is vile.

Ha, missed that but not at all surprised.

When will they understand that, for the economically-inactive, ageing solvent masses, Britain's Florida is now Clacton?

It's Spain's fault for not HUNTING US DOWN.

(All EU citizens need to register for 90 day+ stays and when the UK was a member hundreds of thousands didn't bother)

Can we pause and imagine the well of sympathy in the Telegraph for HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of overstaying foreigners in the UK who don't speak English. Polluting the culture.

People breaking immigration law can be deported. EVEN IF THEY'RE BRITISH.

This lurid headline is about British tourists no longer getting away with overstaying in Schengen. Or being 'illegals', as it's often called in the UK.

Conservatism is believing Romford is still in Essex 60 years after it became part of London.

How many A-Levels do you have. Ten, yah? I only respect men who've built a wall.
Have any of you built a wall? I've built a fucking wall!
Returns to his stool.
Followed by an hour of occasional squawks from the bar. HAVE YOU BUILT A WALL?

When I was at university, a man came up to our table in a pub. Are you students?
Of course you're students.
Leans in. I fucking hate students.
He was posh, red of trouser and cheek, green quilted gilet.

This whole obsession with "too many people going to uni" is such a classic example of the parochialism of UK policymaking. No one bothers to ask why the % here is lower than in most other developed countries or whether that might be relevant.

Yes that's my understanding. Also ditching half price weekend returns.

In 1909 the German Garden City Association visited the UK, including the garden village of New Earswick
