Grumpy but hopeful. Scottish. New Town boy but island dweller. Photography, boats, photos of boats. Often wrong. Some bad words. I don’t agree with everyone I follow.
I don't often warm to folks on Love It or List It, but tonight's couple seem really nice. Maybe it's the Scottish accents. #LIOLI

Not even one sentence on the sackings of Jimmy Thelin and Wilfred Nancy by Aberdeen and Celtic — even when reporting the dismissal of MUFC’s manager. Once again, Scottish sport doesn’t get a look in on #c4news.

Brexit means that the UK is more dependent than ever on the USA, and why our political leaders find it so difficult to criticise whoever is in charge there. We’re also unable to criticise Israel’s abhorrent behaviour in Palestine because Israel is backed by the US. What a shite state of affairs.

“We are going to run the country.”

Ah, so we’ve skipped the legal fig leaves entirely now.

Not democracy. Not justice. Not liberation.

Just occupation of a sovereign country.

Gotcha.

Greenland must be looking at this very carefully.
So, the US has gone to war with Venezuela by the looks of things - because of course they did.

Is this the Tangerine Twat looking for a way to postpone elections later this year, or is there something else in the news he’s trying to distract from? Or just dementia?

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿INDEPENDENCE, OR FASCISM🇬🇧

That’s the stark choice at Holyrood 2026

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England WILL vote in a fascist, Trumpian, government in 2029…by then it’s too late !

Our Rules, Freedoms and Human Rights will no longer apply

We ALL need to convince soft NO voters that we NEED independence to escape fascism
Support for Scottish independence could take a 22-point lead over the Union if Nigel Farage enters No 10, an exclusive new poll has found 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I’ve been watching Fanny Craddock Cooks for Christmas, which is quite hilarious. She keeps referencing a booklet which was produced by the BBC in 1975 and cost 50p. I’ve just looked online for a copy and the seller is asking £154 for it (plus postage!)

There has been a relentless, cacophonous campaign to stigmatise pro-Palestinian activists. But the inconvenient truth is that these are just ordinary people of good conscience who see the horrors of Gaza and simply cannot bear to stand by and do nothing.

A BBC News article warns of the dangers of buying counterfeit football shirts. The fabric could give you a rash (scary!), and the shirt may have been made by someone who’s being exploited. With some genuine shirts retailing at £100+, I can clearly see that some folks are being exploited. #bbcnews

Whilst it’s great that jobs will be saved/created at Grangemouth, there’s a cost to all of us – subsidising a billionaire.
Jim Ratcliffe’s company Ineos gets £120m govt subsidy to help save the UK’s last ethylene plant at Grangemouth.

Ratcliffe is worth $14.7bn (£11bn). Can he not invest? Will he be back for more?

Govt is not taking any equity stake. £120m is not repayable.
