1) People who don't understand motivated reasoning exists
2) People who don't understand that some people are actually capable of holding and following principles and that *not everything* is motivated reasoning

GOP leaders see themselves as the public's rightful rulers, Dem leaders see themselves as the public's loyal servants

GOP pushes to make the public want what they want, Dems crunch analytics to try to figure out what the public wants

skepticism about the ways in which AI is pushed and the claims made about it as a omnitool is extremely justified; denying that it's a very powerful, remarkable, and *weird* technology at this point is more about a particular type of online affect.

Pretty common for a leftist to say "instead of yelling at cons, we need to address the underlying economic conditions that lead to their reactionary conduct" but it would be somewhat unusual to say "instead of yelling at libs we need to address their underlying economic conditions..."
