I spent about 3 1/2 hours splitting wood (with a gas hydraulic splitter! I’m too old for hand splitting!) and had it set up so I was facing the sun. Now an hour after coming my face feels hot! It’s close to being the first sunburn of the year!!!

Right. And I had the thought of using ‘self generated power’ but wonder what that takes away from the overall efficiency. I’ve looked anecdotally at panel angles vs sun exposure, and it doesn’t feel promising. But I have also not had someone in the biz look at it.

The concept is amazing. I most certainly support the idea. A purely Canadian but serious question: what is the impact of snow on the electrical output of panels? And what are the options for active removal of said snow load?
