This is genuinely what I loved about A Master of Djinn. Always looking for that next fix!

A fantastic recommendation, though if I hadn't had the reassurance that the relationship would pay off I would have quit halfway through from fear of being disappointed. A million thanks!

Genre is annoying, especially when low reading comprehension or narrow field of experience raise the difficulty in understanding all of a story. That said, the current trend of expecting stories to be very literal and expository can go hang.

One memorable encounter that started during a movie and continued while its soundtrack played over the end credits resulted in me fucking to Galop Infernal. Best and most hilarious cardio ever! Not best sex tho.

I may know the name of the author/singer/designer of a given thing I love (off the top of my head? More unlikely) but do I know the names of the illustrators, background musicians, voice actors? Do I know actors AND directors AND composers, etc?

Maybe it's because I've seen my parents pensions ripped away by free-market-loving assholes. Maybe it's the multiple recessions moving the goalposts ever backward. Maybe because all the CEOs I've ever worked for were massive jerks.
