He bared his sword-like fangs and snarled, then smacked the water’s surface with his hands. Kaelin looked Ruyak in the eye and stood her ground. He did it again, everything closer and louder and harder. Kaelin’s injured leg buckled and she nearly collapsed into the water, but determination kept her on her feet.
