Be kind. Laugh often. Stay curious. Everything changes. Everyone has a story. Question everything. You'll manage.

"They're people & we have to protect them from our own government", Eve thought. She was determined to show the world that many Americans were appalled at this sort of behavior. Many Americans were ready for a change in the national agenda, both at home & abroad. How could she make a difference?

He felt overwhelmed w/ the sadness of knowing the truths of 1968. This hopeful young woman was about to be emotionally shattered by gunshots. Blue didn't want to think about that. There was nothing he could do to stop that for her. He needed to focus on NOW. He needed help to effect change NOW.

I'm a bit mixed up though... is the young woman who is filled with hope, Mavis or Eve? Or someone else? And she's from 1968 but what year is this taking place? Sorry for my confusion!

I haven't been to this site all week so that explains my absence - I always check on Sunday for the Sunday sentence hashtag but don't often make it back many times during the week. I'm not ignoring the story 😍

“Yes, Spike, we can make a bigger impact if we act as a unit for the good of all. We don’t need to be violent. What we need is to hit them where it hurts: their wallets! We have to mess with their income stream so that they will pay attention. Money talks, you know!” Mavis said w/ authority.

“You’re damn right we do’” asserted Mavis. “People nowadays think only of themselves & what’s best for them.”
“Ah, Mavis,” a gravelly voice muttered. “You know that ain’t so. Spike looked out from under his hat & continued. “You know damn well that there are still many compassionate many people.”

"Well," Mavis declared, "Now is the time for all of us hardworking & compassionate people to rise up & remind those of great wealth and greed that we are here and we are not going away. We demand that the rich stop stepping on us in order to gain more money. We have had enough! Greed will not win!"

The young woman tugged on her jacket as she called out to the crowd, "Yes, we can! We can change the world as it is now. What it takes is for enough people to decide that living for only themselves is not satisfying. What it takes is for people to say NO! to greed and disrespect. Are you with me?"
